I moved onto a Superstock Yamaha R6 and competed in the Thundersport GB 600 Elite class. I started the year at the back of the grid in 33rd position and by round 5, I was in the top 10. I also took quite a big leap-of-faith and jumped straight-in with the British Supersport grid at both Cadwell Park and Oulton Park. This gave me a taste for just how good the quality of the field was.
